Rules for direct selling in China

There are 15 marketing rules for direct selling in China. And today I want to give you a brief introduction to these rules.

Rules 1: we should fully understand the economic age we are in. By now the humankind has gone through 3 economic ages, namely product-based economic age, service-based economic age and experience-based economic age.

Rules 2: Currently, high-tech products with great additional value are prevalent, which requires that the product in our direct selling should be with great additional value, especially the cultural value.

Rules 3: Change mode of “great profits with slow turnover” to “small profits with quick turnover”.

Rules 4: The internet connects us with the future. In the current era, we have two ways to make great fortune: through network or originality. The former means that each company should build up its own network. We advise that a company should build up the following networks: 1) company network, especially chain stores; 2) a network of salespersons. Build up an encouragement system, and the salespersons should not only from insiders of the company but also from the society; 3) customer network. Lots of companies classify their customers into type A and type B, and the best method to build up a customer network is to adopt a membership system.

Rules 5: From investment-inviting to word-of-mouth marketing, the advertising method has reached the peak from the starting-point, and a profitable cycle is shaped: people buy a product because of the public praise, then buy it repeatedly because of its good quality. But the current public praise is kind of different from it was before, because the public praise now is connected closely with the internet.

Rules 6: Quick turnover and speedy accumulation of fortune. We all agree that marketing is the effective method for quick accumulation of fortune.

Rules 7: Learning is a profitable thing. In The Fifth Discipline, American management professor Peter Senge pointed out that the most promising and most competitive enterprises are learning-type enterprise; the most promising individuals are those keeping learning; and the most promising groups are also those of learning-type. Learning brings profit, and the basic method to adapt to the changing world is learning.

Rules 8: Succeed with team work. Working with individual power can not realize great achievements, and a great enterprise can only be realized by building up an excellent team. An excellent team has 2 key features: common target and effective communication.

Rules 9: For cultivating general-like people, we should comply with the “80/20 principle”, that means we should pay 80% attention to the 20% people, because success can only be achieved by elites.

Rules 10: Multi-directional development. You can recommend other products to your faithful clients.
